🦕Preschool Dinosaur Learning Activities for At‑Home Teaching

Back in March 2020, when everything shifted to virtual sessions, I began creating speech therapy lesson plans for parents to use at home. Each week I built themed activities, added language development strategies, and wrote short guides explaining how families could support communication outside of therapy. I saved every single plan, hoping they might be useful again someday.

Throughout the story, ask your child early literacy questions such as yes/no, who, what, where, why, or when—depending on their language goals. Describe the actions and objects on each page to support language development during reading. After finishing the book, practice sequencing by having your child retell the story with or without pictures, which strengthens story retell skills for preschoolers.
