Receptive language therapy supports children who have difficulty understanding spoken language, following directions, or answering questions, targeting wh‑question comprehension, basic concept understanding, and listening skills essential for classroom and home routines.
Caregiver Coaching for Early Language Development & Parent‑Child Communication

Caregiver coaching provides individualized guidance by observing everyday routines and modeling strategies that strengthen parent‑child communication, early language development, and at‑home speech therapy techniques that support carryover across daily activities.
Accent Modification/Coaching

Speech & Language Evaluations for Children | Philadelphia & Pennsylvania Pediatric SLP
Speech Essentials provides early childhood speech and language assessments for children ages 0–5 using the Developmental Assessment of Young Children–Second Edition (DAYC‑2), a widely used tool in early intervention and pediatric speech therapy. For older children, services are guided by a dynamic speech‑language assessment, including observations, informal testing, screenings, and speech‑language samples to establish a baseline and create individualized speech therapy goals.
If your child has completed a recent speech‑language evaluation—either through another SLP or their school—I can use that report to begin therapy immediately. Therapy can also be aligned with your child’s active Individualized Education Plan (IEP) to support school‑based speech goals and carryover at home.
I offer one free 15‑minute consultation to discuss your concerns about your child’s communication. After our conversation, I provide a free speech and language screening to determine whether your child may benefit from services, review the results with you, and offer recommendations. If a full speech therapy assessment is needed, it will take place during the first session.
